DESCRIPTION: APW – Ball Hamilton, Official Standard, Grade 999B, 21J, 16S, gold-filled OF original Ball Official RR Standard stirrup bow case with satin brush finish on rear, Montgomery white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, mono-metallic balance with Elinvar hairspring, fully capped lever escapement, bull's-eye pattern nickel damascene, s#1B19584. An exceptional complete package with watch in essentially unused condition and coming with its very rare set of original boxes. The inner box is a pull apart aluminum style that is marked "Ball Official RR Standard" on its upper portion, and the outer box is a cardboard box with end label bearing movement serial number which is correctly matched to the present watch aside from tattering loss to marking of the last digit. Lot also comes with the business card of "Northern Watch Company" which were official railroad watch inspectors based in St. Paul, Minnesota. CONDITION: Mvt: GRO...
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, virtually mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, mvt surfaces are extremely close to pristine but appear likely to have not seen a cleaning in quite some time; flawless dial; very near mint hands; case shows no wear, no dents or dings, satin finish on case rear is fully intact with only some slight micro-fine contact scratches; tight bow, crown shows no wear; good glass crystal; outer cardboard box shows medium wear and tattering, small end flap torn off but present on top side, both small end flaps missing on bottom, bottom main flap with interior taping, bottom with end label bearing correctly matched s# apart from tattering loss to its last digit; inner aluminum box shows little wear; business card legible but with some creases and with an address marking crossed out.
